Founded in 1982 by Tony Soter, Etude specializes in two classic red varietals - Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. While modeled after the best of Burgundy and Bordeaux, Etude wines speak clearly of their contemporary California origins, combining rich, ripe fruit with an elegant structure and opulent mouth feel.
Etude's Pinot Noirs, including a highly esteemed bottling made from rare heirloom varieties and its small production Pinot Gris and Rose of Pinot Noir, are vinified from grapes grown on the Winery’s Carneros estate vineyard. Fruit for the Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the warmer, northern half of Napa Valley.
The Winery is open by appointment only; Monday through Friday, 10am to 4:00pm. No appointment required on Saturdays, 11:00am to 4:00pm.
